N.I'S BRIGHT HOPES IGNITE IN THE GRIP OF THE WINTER DARKNESS
The great thing about January on the live music front is that although the big guns are in hibernation, the most determined youngsters get left with the space to shine. Breaking the winter silence in Belfast, tonight's eclectic lineup sees three of the province's finest unsigned acts turning up the heat in one of the city's finest, rejuvenated venues.
Exit's enormous, stadium-seeking choruses, bolstered by lead guitarist Chris Logan's shimmering tones and behind-the-head soloing completely dwarf the venue. It's an unusual complaint, both blessing and curse; there's great audience connection and songs take on a deliciously rough, live edge, but their sound's as outsized as a monster truck at kwik-fit. They're undeniably talented though. With space and a little more studio-time, these guys could be huge.

EP Review (EXIT EP)
As soon as the first chords strike up, Exit make you sit up and take notice. Their new EP couldnít have a better start. The opening track, City By The Sea, has a catchy central riff and lures you in straight away. You can imagine watching this band on stage in a 20 thousand seater arena with the crowd singing along to every word. It took me three plays before I could move onto the rest of the Cd but Iím glad I did, because Exit just get better.
Label Girl has a heavier feel, reminiscent of Thin Lizzy crossed with The Undertones. Tristan Harris' excellent vocals are wonderfully complemented by Chris Logan's artful guitar playing as his riffs follow and twist around Tristan's lyrics.
Man On The Moon has a darker mood and showcases the drumming of Shane Watters and Andy Morgan's bass, which appear to the fore on this track, as Logan's guitar shimmers away in the background - a subtler performance yet still pivotal. The Cd ends on a gentler note with the anthemic Break The Chains. The song builds and builds, layer upon layer, showcasing the bandís strength in song writing. With four strong tracks, this EP can only help the band raise their profile. It's glorious from start to finish.

EP Review (EXIT EP)
Four piece band from Belfast, Northern Ireland have been hitting our gigging scene for a few years this is their second EP release and I might say it ain't bad at all, it consists of four tracks of modern rock and melodic delights, you can hear some of the bands influences on this Ep but they have not over done it, I like the high melodic guitar riffs and bring back rock attitude in the music. Very nice lads.

EP Review (EXIT EP)
City By The Sea, the lead track of their new four-song EP courts daytime radio shamelessly via its catchy hooks...Man On The Moon and Break The chains, hark back to the kind of emotive soft rock stylings that have grown men holding clenched fists and half drunk beers aloft across the land. The latter track is particularly good, again featuring some stellar guitar fireworks that wouldn't sound out of place on
the Def Leppard classic Pyromania - it's not often you can say that about a band these days. If you're intrigued, check them out at www.myspace.com.exitonline

EP Review (EXIT EP)
EXIT have just released their self-titled EP 'Exit' a follow-up to their 2005 debut. EXIT EP is everything you would expect from the band, who refer to themselves as a 'hard-hitting anthemic melodic rock band'.
The four tracks on the EP sound like an offering from an American rock band with years of experience playing stadiums around the world. The blend of Tristan's vocals, Shane's strong drum beats, Andy's solid bass line and Chris' shredding guitar has delivered an impressive follow-up EP.
EXIT have honed their skills on the live circuit and that experience certainly creeps through into their recording and its easy to see why record labels and management companies are showing a great interest in the local lads. Surely a record deal and album are just over the horizon.

"EXIT are a local band creating a stir and they certainly will continue to do, considering the quality of their latest release. I have to say that they are a band for whom I've developed an admiration. I've seen them live a few times and I think these guys could be contenders."

"Tonight, at East Belfast's premier loud rock venue, The Rosetta. If 12-string guitars and multi-layered harmonies are your thing headliners Exit have it all - as well as playing a well-recieved gig in Liverpool's legendary Cavern Club during the summer, they supported Starsailor at an open-air gig in Belfast."
